Twitter will change the 140 character limit

Twitter will change the 140 character limit
Twitter blog announced that soon the Twitter users will be able to “express even more in 140 characters”.  Tweets will suffer a few changes in the upcoming months and the purpose for these changes is to make “more room for words”.

The @name replies will no longer count within the tweet. Twitter suggests that this way the users will not have to use short/code words anymore, ultimately leading to a clearer conversation.

The “@” rule will disappear. It seems like Twitter wants to make tweets feel more organic and direct.  And media attachments will no longer count within the 140 character limit also.
